Over 150 Minutes of New Video Coverage Mounted on Nation’s Largest Convention’s Online Video Coverage Site
Anaheim, California (August 18, 2008) — Want to re-experience all the excitement that was Anime Expo® 2008? Want a preview of all the anime goodness for the highly anticipated 2009 convention, July 2-5, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center? Official video coverage from the final days of the nation’s largest convention of its kind is available for viewing on the convention’s official video coverage site AXBackstage (www.axbackstage.org).
All new coverage videos involve an official Anime Expo® 2008 Official Guest of Honor, new videos include:
- AX 2008 Guest of Honor Artist Panels-Akemi Takada and Hiromi Kato
- AX 2008 Guest of Honor Director Panels-Masahiro Ando and Masamitsu Hidaka

The winner of the AX Idol Singing competition is Pamela Moss who sang the song "Kouga Ninpou Chou" from Basilisk.
The winner of the AX Idol Voice Acting competition is Caitlin Chang who voiced the character Yoko Ritona in a scene from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Increased Attendance Numbers, Charity Auction Results and Next Year’s Convention Dates Announced for the Nation’s Largest Anime and Manga Event
Los Angeles, California (July 6, 2008) — 43,000 unique attendees (2007 attendance was approximately 41,000) came to the streets of downtown Los Angeles to participate in the biggest anime and manga event of the year held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Total daily numbers for the convention is approximately 103,000 attendees ascended onto the Los Angeles Convention Center over the 4th of July weekend.
