International wrestling legend and Lucha Libre icon Último Dragón, returns to the U.S. after an 8-year hiatus to join Anime Expo as a judge for LA FIGHT, Japan Film Society’s anime-based short film competition. In addition, Último Dragón will be hosting a panel and signing autographs for his upcoming 100+ page Último Dragón Kickstarter graphic novel, illustrated by Musetap Art Studios’ Wil Woods and Tyrine Carver and written by Dan Madigan, who is a former WWE staff writer, screenwriter of the movie See No Evil, and author of Mondo Lucha a Go-Go.
Japanese-born Último Dragón began his career over 25 years ago under his birth name, Yoshihiro Asai. Trained by some of the most famous names in the history of the sport–Antonio Inoki, Yoshiaki Fujimara and El Gran Hamada–Último went on to work for nearly every major wrestling company in the world, including AAA, CMLL, WAR, IGF, WCW, and WWE.At one time, he held 10championshipbelts, a feat that will never again be repeated. Following in the footsteps of legendary wrestler/promoter/spokesperson Antonio Inoki, and promoter Vince McMahon, Último has stepped into the role of ambassador for wrestling events worldwide. His talents have taken him around the globe from South America to the Far East. Most recently Holland and the UK have called on Último for his ability to break down cultural borders and lend credibility to new international wrestling promotions. Último Dragón is using his innovative skills of cross-promotion and an insightful multi-cultural business sense to create a new and innovative transmedia entertainment venture for his legion of worldwide fans.
