Anime Expo welcomes Italian cosplayer, Giada Pancaccini, for her first US appearance as one of this year’s masquerade judges. Also known as Giada Robin, she loves meeting people and sharing her passion. Giada will have autograph and photo sessions, plus host a Q&A panel.
In addition to her great passion for anime, manga, movies, and video games, Giada loves acting, modeling, sewing and creating things. It’s no surprise that she fell in love with cosplay at the first sight, because she could put all these things together.
She started cosplaying at Lucca Comics & Games 2008, as Nico Robin (One Piece), where she won the official “One Piece Italian Cosplay Contest.” Rewarded by Takashi Yoshiike (Toei Animation artist and art director for One Piece: Dead End Adventure), she continued her adventure in the magic world of cosplay under the name of “Giada Robin” to remember her first time and great experience.
Since then, Giada has been to several conventions in Italy and around Europe as a guest and to judge cosplay competitions. In 2010, she started organizing “PLAY-COS,” a cosplay event that takes place at “Modena PLAY,” Italy’s biggest gaming convention.
