Famed Japanese voice actor, Ryō Horikawa, joins Anime Expo 2017 as a Guest of Honor! Best known as the voice of Vegeta in the Dragon Ball series, Horikawa will participate in a panel as well as autograph sessions throughout the weekend.

Joining him on-stage will be U.S. voice actors from the English dub of Dragon Ball Super: Christopher R. Sabat (Vegeta) and Seán Schemmel (Goku) and Jason Douglas (Beerus). Together, they will engage Anime Expo attendees in an unforgettable look at Dragon Ball’s legacy. Sabat, Schemmel, and Douglas will also participate in autograph schedules at AX 2017. The most exciting part of the event follows the presentation when the audience gets to decide what happens! During an extended Q&A session, the Dragon Ball Super cast will open up the floor to fans and their imaginations.

Ryō Horikawa

Ryo Horikawa was born in Osaka, Japan. He is a Japanese actor and voice actor. He made his debut in voice acting in the anime series, Dream Soldier Wing-man in 1984 (as Kenta Hirono). One of his famous roles is Vegeta from the Dragon Ball series. He is president of Japanese talent agency, Aslead Company. He is also the president of International Media, a voice talent academy in Japan.

Christopher R. Sabat

Currently tallying well over 500 roles in his career, and an active part of the voiceover industry since 1998, Chris has voiced many Dragon Ball Z characters. He is most excited to take on the role of the incomparable All Might in the epic My Hero Academia. Noted as an early employee of Funimation Productions, he has brought many other popular characters to life, including Alex Luis Armstrong (Fullmetal Alchemist), and Woerman (Attack on Titan). When he’s not in the studio, he likes to play with his adorable daughters, make electronic music and buy vintage Pumas and airline glassware on eBay.

Seán Schemmel

Seán Schemmel, a professional voice actor, director and musician, is best known as the English voice of Goku for the hugely popular anime, Dragon Ball Z. Known for his vocal versatility, he has also voiced dozens of characters for numerous animated series and video games such as Pokemon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fallout 4, and many others. Seán has starred in the feature films Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods & Resurrection ‘F’, and is reprising his roles as Goku and King Kai in the new hit Dragon Ball series, Dragon Ball Super, currently airing on Cartoon Network.

Jason Douglas

Currently appearing as ‘Tobin’ on The Walking Dead, Jason Douglas has also been a recurring guest on AMC’s Breaking Bad, ABC’s Nashville, and El Rey Network’s From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series. Feature film appearances include Jack Reacher 2: Never Go Back and No Country for Old Men. Voice characters include fan-favorite roles of ‘Beerus’ in the new Dragon Ball Z films and games and ‘Krieg the Psycho’ in the popular Borderlands 2. Jason is one of anime’s most prolific voice artists, voicing lead characters in nearly 200 titles including Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, RWBY, and Attack on Titan.
