We welcome director Tensai Okamura from to Anime Expo 2017 as a Guest of Honor! Okamura will participate in a panel on July 3, 12 – 1 PM at LP3/LACC 408AB.

Born in 1961, Okamura gained experience as both an animator and a episode director at MADHOUSE Inc. before making his directorial debut with the short Stink Bomb in the animated anthology film Memories (1995). Okamura’s directorial work spans a variety of genres: the original animation works Darker than Black series, World Conquest Zvezda Plot, and Wolf’s Rain, animated adaptations of comics such as The Seven Deadly Sins, Blue Exorcist, Naruto The Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, Android Kikaider – the Animation, animated adaptation of the game Medabots, and the animation Project Blue Earth SOS, based on Shigeru Komatsuzaki’s illustrated story. He also took part in the making of animations Evangelion, Full Metal Panic, and Cowboy Bebop. His latest work KUROMUKURO is now streaming worldwide on Netflix as its original animation.
