Mitsutoshi Ogura is one of the most prolific producers at Geneon Universal Entertainment Japan, LLC. He is responsible for many of their flagship franchises, such asFate/stay night, and Black Lagoon. A focus panel is planned for Black Lagoon on July 3, 1:00PM, which will be joined by Rei Hiroe, the original creator of the manga.
Fate/stay night, based on a popular game by TYPE-MOON, was first made into an animated TV series in 2006, and has since become one of the most successful anime franchises for Geneon Universal. Furthermore, the theatrical version released in January this year has set the record for revenue per screen for all movies released that week in Japan.
Black Lagoon, an international hit and the title he is most famous for, is currently in its third installment. The uncut version of the first episode will make its international debut at Anime Expo on July 1, 1:30PM.
Mr. Ogura has also worked on many fan-favorite anime titles such as Mahoromatic and Kamen no Maid Guy. At the Geneon Universal Panel on July 2, 10:00AM, he will be introducing his latest project to the US audience, which includes Hokuoki and High School of the Dead.
