TSUNKU♂

Musical Artist and Total Entertainment Producer.

TSUNKU♂, born in Osaka (1968), is the most well known as the entertainment producer of MORNING MUSUME. TSUNKU♂ started his musical career when he was in 8th grade and formed his first band on 9th grade that broke up even before they have a name. In 1988, he reformed the band “SHA RAM Q” which consisted of TSUNKU♂ (Vocals), Hatake (Guitar), Makoto (Drums),Taise (Keyboard), Shu (Bass).

In 1991, “SHA RAM Q” won the “NHK BS Young battle” competition (which consisted of 3,404 bands). “SHA RAM Q” continues to perform under the BMG Victor Records label and their single “Single Bed” has sold over 1.2 million copies and their follow up single ‘Zurui Onna” sold over 1.45 million copies.

TSUNKU♂ is not only musical performer and music producer but also an accomplished composer, actor, author and film producer.

Most recently TSUNKU♂ has produced the smash hit video game “Rhythm Heaven” for NINTENDO.
