<p><strong>LOS ANGELES (June 17, 2011</strong>) &#8212; Tune  in Tokyo brings its global pop sound to the Club Nokia VIP Lounge as  part of Anime Expo 2011, presenting a night of J-Pop, K-Pop, Japanese  Electro and Indie, and International Club Beats on Saturday, July 2nd.  They will be joined by AX Idol Winner and J-Pop singer Stephanie Yanez,  and LA-based hard rock band Dig Jelly, in a special acoustic  performance. There will also be a Vocaloid-inspired fashion show  sponsored by Q-Pop, featuring Japanese labels Sexpot Revenge,  Algonquins, Super Lovers, and the Putamayo x Vocaloid Collaboration.</p>
<p>The event runs on July 2nd  from 9 PM &#8211; 2 AM, and is welcome to all ages. The Club Nokia VIP lounge  is located on the second floor, accessed by the elevators on the left  side of the entrance. A convention badge is required for entry into Club  Nokia.</p>

Sign-ups for panels, workshops, screenings and more are now available <a href="https://www.axevents.org/prog/index.php">online</a>. Celebrating its 20<sup>th</sup> Anniversary, Anime Expo will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1 – 4, 2011.</p>
<p>Year after year, Anime Expo is honored to feature a wide variety of programming for its attendees. Holding an event at AX is a great way to showcase work to fans, industry, press and media from around the world.  Anime Expo will have multiple programming rooms configured to host everything from focus panels and workshops to world premiere screenings.</p>

Celebrating its 20th anniversary and themed &ldquo;The Year of the Fan,&rdquo; Anime Expo 2011 will award a spectacular $10,000 cash to the &ldquo;Best of Show&rdquo; winner in the wildly popular Masquerade, making it the richest anime costume competition in North America.  Masquerade second and third place winners will receive $2,500 and $1,000 respectively, while winners of the Midnight Tea, Pop Shock Masquerade and other Anime Expo competitions will split close to $12,000 in cash and prizes.</p>
<p>Anime Expo &#8212; North America&#8217;s largest anime and manga event &#8212; returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center and L.A. Live from July 1 &#8211; 4, 2011 with the biggest exhibition and program in its history.  A non-stop marathon of Japanese pop culture that&#8217;s been likened to Halloween in July, Anime Expo (AX) fully immerses guests into the world of Japanese animation, manga (comic books), music and fashion.</p>
<p>&ldquo;The fans who work so hard on their costumes and performances all year long and who make Anime Expo so exciting will be well rewarded in 2011,&rdquo; said Marc Perez, Chairman and CEO of the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation, the non-profit that produces the event.  &ldquo;In addition to the large awards in the formal Anime Expo competitions, we&#8217;ll have a roving team of judges giving on-the-spot prizes like tickets to exclusive events and valuable collectibles to outstanding cosplayers they see anywhere throughout the Convention Center.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Anime Expo gives fans the rare opportunity to meet and hear from some of the most famous anime, manga and musical artists from Japan and get into the action through everything from costume play, karaoke and video competitions to exclusive screenings, non-stop video gaming competitions and Masquerade, in which fans transform themselves into their favorite anime and manga characters through creative costuming, accessories and make-up and put on their own show before an audience of thousands.</p>

<p>Ticket prices range from $45 for a one-day adult pass to $75 for a four-day adult pass.  A one day for children ages 5 &#8211; 12 is $25.  Children 1 &#8211; 4 are free. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Los Angeles, CA &ndash; June 22, 2010</strong> &ndash; <strong>Anime Expo&reg;</strong> is pleased to announce today that the North American premiere of the theatrical play, KISARAGI, will be hosted on July 2 at 5:30p.m. in the J.W. Marriott Hotel. Anime Expo, North America&#8217;s largest anime and manga convention, is scheduled for July 1 &ndash; 4, 2010, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.</p>
<p>KISARAGI was originally released as a film in 2007. The critically acclaimed film received various awards including the 31<sup>st</sup> Japan Academy Award Picture of the Year, the 51<sup>st</sup> Blue Ribbon Award and the Katteni Eiga Award. In 2009, it was adapted into a theatrical play in Japan and China and opened to rave reviews.</p>
<p>One year after the suicide of C-list model Kisaragi Miki, five of her fans come together for a commemorative meeting. They slowly come to the realization that her death didn&#8217;t occur they way they thought it did. The more they talk, the more the case takes shape in their minds, and the closer they come to the truth. Five actors join together to bring you an exciting murder mystery of epic proportions. The starring cast includes <a href="http://dev.anime-expo.org/guests/sophia/" target="_blank">SOPHIA</a> lead singer Mitsuru Matsuoka, Nezumi Imamura, Yousuke Asari, Masahiro Usui and Yuichirou Nakayama.</p>
