What is DASH?
DASH or Downtown Area Short Hop is a service created by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) whose primary function is to provide a localized transportation service. This means if your bank is down a couple of blocks, you would just hop onto your local DASH bus and it will take you there.
How big is DASH?
DASH currently operates over 30 routes covering Downtown Los Angeles and many outlying communities within the city.
When will I need DASH at Anime Expo?
If you would like to experience more of Los Angeles than just the Convention Center but you don’t have access to a car (blew up, disappeared, ninjas stole it, Chuck Norris ate it) then the DASH is for you. You can just hop on and it can take you to food, fun, and experiences and it’s only 25 cents!
Does using the DASH cost anything?
In case you didn’t read about two lines up, it costs a measly 25 cents a ride.
Here is a handy conversion chart:
One quarter = twenty-five pennies = 5 nickels = 1 nickel and 2 dimes = 3 nickels and 1 dime = 5 pennies and 2 dimes = 5 pennies and 1 dime and 1 nickel = …you know what… I’m pretty sure making 25 cents doesn’t require any charts.

Other than that, route E runs on Saturday every 6 minutes from 10am to 5:00pm. Sunday route E runs every 6 minutes from 10:00am to 5:00pm). Transfer to route DD (runs every 20 minutes from 10:00am to 5:00pm) at the multiple route stop on 7th. Transfer to route F (runs every 20minutes from 10:00am to 5:00 pm) at the multiple route stop on Figueroa. Route F will take you to the Convention center.
