Travis Hampton Willingham is an American voice actor. He was born August 3, 1981, in Dallas, Texas. His most notable role to date is as Roy Mustang in the English language release of the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. He is now appearing as Iggy in the new hit anime Ergo Proxy.
He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1999 and then made the short drive to Fort Worth to study theatre at Texas Christian University where he graduated in May 2003 with a BFA in Theater Performance.
His first screen appearance was in the independent film The Anarchist Cookbook (2002). He then traded blows with Robert Duvall while filming a fight scene in Secondhand Lions (2003) in November of 2002. Travis‘ next project was with Jamie Foxx in Ray (2004/I), but he found himself in the deleted scenes section of the DVD release. Travis‘ latest project is The Guardian which is shooting in Shreveport, LA.
Travis has a growing fanbase of his own. They call themselves the Miniskirt Army [M.S.A.], in honor of his Fullmetal Alchemist character Roy’s famous quote “That day…all female officers will be required to wear TINY MINISKIRTS!” To find out more about the M.S.A., visit the website (Miniskirt Army Website).
Recently, Willingham had a voice role in a video game—Time Crisis 4 as V.S.S.E. agent Evan Bernard (English Voice). He also played Adonis in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. He is been in such shows as Dragonball Z, Blue Gender, Yu Yu Hakusho, Case Closed, Daphne, and Gunxsword
