Programming Policies

Live Programming & Workshop Rooms

-General Room Policies-

All live programming and workshop rooms will be checking badges upon entry. Please make sure that your badges are in clear view of room personnel to move lines along.

***When a room opens up for entry we will allow people to enter in the following order:***
1) Disabled Services Priority Access Sticker Holders (please get these from an info booth prior to arriving at an event)
2) Premier Fan Badge Holders and press with valid Anime Expo® Press Badges
3) All other valid passes with access to live programming and workshop rooms.

Please note that if an event is ticketed you must have the appropriate pass and ticket to enter the event. Please follow the directions of room staff personnel. Filming and photography permissions will be announced at the beginning of events as each event has its own policy. At the end of each panel the rooms will be cleared unless otherwise stated.

-18+ Event Policies-

All 18+ panels and workshops rooms will be checking ID’s upon entry. Only those who are 18 years old as of the event date will be granted access. There will be no exceptions to the age rule.

The following list of ID’s are the only ones that will be allowed for panel and workshop events:

State Drivers License
State Identification Card
Passport
U.S. Military ID.

There will be no exceptions to the types of identifications. For re-entry into the room you will be required to show identification or a quick re-access device that will be determined by Anime Expo® staff.  If you are over the age of 18 you may not escort another person under the age of 18 into the room. Please do not leave children unaccompanied to attend an 18+ event.

Video & Film Rooms

-General Room Policies-

All video and film rooms will be checking badges upon entry. Please make sure that your badges are in clear view of room personnel to move lines along.

***When a room opens up for entry we will allow people to enter in the following order:***
1) Disabled Services Priority Access Sticker Holders (please get these from an info booth prior to arriving at an event)
2) Premier Fan Badge Holders and press with valid Anime Expo® Press Badges
3) All other valid passes with access to live programming and workshop rooms.

Please note that if an event is ticketed you must have the appropriate pass and ticket to enter the event. Please follow the directions of room staff personnel. No Filming will be allowed within video and film rooms without express permission from SPJA and/or Anime Expo®. Video and Film Rooms reserve the right to clear the room after a showing in preparation for highly anticipated showings.

-18+ Showing Policies-

All 18+ video and film rooms will be checking ID’s upon entry. Only those who are 18 years old as of the showing date will be granted access. There will be no exceptions to the age rule.
