you could even buy them and whack your friends with them~!!
i SOOO wanted one too and i wanted to look through all of the shonen Ai and Yaoi stuff that i couldnt read but....T_T the people just scare me XDD

Just to tell you guys, swinging a wooden paddle around is consider "brandishing" which is against the weapon's policy and there were a lot of complaints about that last year. So I ask you, please do not hit other people with yaoi paddles and don't encourage it either.

am I brave enough, meh, Ill just pay someone to get them for me, something about smacking my friend rosey sounds funny though, lol, but the hitting the random people thing might be a little to far, but w/e, its all funny anyway.

It's not a matter of being brave, it's a matter of stupidity in my opinion. Hitting someone with a yaoi paddle is rude and uncalled for, unless you're into that type of thing, and in that case shouldn't be done in the public. Most normal guys I know don't like yaoi, let alone being hit with a piece of wood with the word written down on it. That's like me just randomly punching someone in the face and yelling "Haodouken" or "Burn Knuckle". There shouldn't be swinging of the paddles period in public places. Those paddles could be considered weapons by Anaheim Police, especially with people wacking the hell out of others. All it takes is one person to complain. I had better not see anyone hitting people with anything, let alone a paddle. I will take it up with the proper authorities. However, posing with the paddles for pics and things like that is no problem. I'm not saying this as a AX staff member, I'm saying this as a person with common sense.

Yeah, not cool to randomly hit people. Most people that want to be hit will make you aware it when they see your paddle .

Hazzah to the AX staff! Yaoi paddles are funny and all, but honestly, hard wood like that can hurt (no pun intended). And what if you missed? And hitting totally random people? Assault much? Anyway, hopefully dodging scary fangirls with paddles and not getting hit. Heck, its hard enough to dodge big wings in the dealer hall.

Um, sorry to those who got sore butts.

As for buying one, I wouldn't for myself, but I have a friend or two I would do it for, because they are too shy. They guy is just loud and obnoxious when he yells, but I guess thats the selling point.
