Hi there!

I am wondering how I can get an event added to the table top game room?

We would like to run a demo (or several) of Collateral Damage: The Anime Board Game. We will be in the exhibit hall, and would love to be able to demo it. Below is the description of the game.

While there are several anime-themed card games on the market, Collateral Damage is the only known anime based board game. In Collateral Damage, you play a Gang Boss trying to take over cities in Neo Japan in order to win the game. Your gang is made up of typical characters from romantic comedy anime, which you move around the board in order to fight your opponents and gain Notoriety. However, as is typical in romantic comedy anime, your characters might fall in love, and will then ignore your orders to instead follow their love around the board.

Collateral Damage: The Anime Board Game is an exciting new board game for 2-6 players. A game runs about 2 hours, and knowledge of anime is not necessary to play. Prizes will be given to all participants and to the winner.

As of now, tabletop gaming has a full schedule. However, pm WayneP to discuss this offline. If there is any open space he would be the one to discuss this with.

Greetings Wayne:

This is Norm, and I'm not sure if you had the opportunity to review my post about Miniatures Wargaming, but I'm striving to answer two questions:

1. Is there even a demand for miniatures wargaming at this particular expo.?, and

2. If so, would you have the space to accomodate the tables needed for miniatures wargaming?

As I mentioned, I have moderated game conventions in the past, and if question 1 is answered with a "yes," then I wouldn't mind running this aspect of the tabletop games (providing you'll be preoccupied elsewhere). It would not be difficult for me to make up a scheduled miniatures wargaming schedule before the expo., however, I would like some feedback from players who would be willing to participate. I do not expect to run this as an "official tournament," since I'm not affiliated with either Games Workshop or Privateer Press. The format I would like to use, however, would be to run one (or two) "Mega-Battles" per day, in which the participants would all fight side-by-side in a large-scale battle. Since we are talking about different game systems, each day would be dedicated to one particular game (WHFB, WH40K, or Warmachine), so that the players wouldn't have to bring more than what would be scheduled for any specific day.

Please note that the idea of the "Mega-Battle" was simply to conserve table space, for this could be set up in any corner of a room. If the players would rather fight one-on-ones, this too would be possible, however, we may be required aa larger gaming space to spread everyone out. Please feel free to offer your suggestions, and I would like to encourage any players to do the same.

Thank you,

Norm

Everyone please take note of the Roaster of Events for Table Top Game Room 2008 as there have been some updates made.

I think this is probably the closest to actual running list of events we'll have this year. The only 2 updates left to come will be our list of RP events, game get-to-gethers that aren't prize supported (such as Apples to Apples, or Munchkin) and our room's sponsors events.

I've added into the list a structured Learn and Play event for the game Collateral Damage.

To address Lord Storm's Questions:
Please see my response in your created thread on mini gaming. Send me a message around October of this year and lets see what we can put together for 2009.

In case you don't know, Maid RPG is a Japanese tabletop RPG that's premiering in English at GenCon Indy this year. The official website isn't up yet, but I have some info on it here.

Wayne,

Is there a full list of events available? I'm curious to know what events are running Thursday (Day 1).
