Voice actress and singer, Mari Iijima joins Anime Expo 2017!
Best known as the voice of Lynn Minmay from Macross, Mari premiered her award-winning, first English album No Limit at AX 1999, which created huge buzz. Her appearance this year is a long awaited return to the event! She will be performing during our new Welcome Ceremony, where guests, performers, and staff greet attendees with a showcase previewing the best AX has to offer.

Mari Iijima is an accomplished singer and songwriter, with top 10 albums released through Victor Entertainment Japan and Warner Music Japan. All of the music on her critically acclaimed debut album Rosé is self-written, produced by renowned composer Ryuichi Sakamoto. Soon after she signed with Victor Entertainment Japan she voiced and sang the part of female lead Lynn Minmay for the animation series Macross, which was also adapted into a hit film.
