Need to get to your hotel or to the convention while beating the heat? Well, we’ve got the solution: the AX Shuttle Service!Transportation is provided for free between the Los Angeles Convention Center and the official Anime Expo® hotels for all Anime Expo badge holders.

Shuttle service will begin at 7:00 AM on July 3rd and end at 10:00 PM on July 7th. Information signs will be posted at each boarding location and in the West Hall Lobby. If you have any questions about the transportation, or if you need to make an advance reservation for a wheelchair-accessible shuttle, please see the Anime Expo® shuttle coordinator at the convention center.

Note: The Shuttle Service is also extended to our exhibitors and approved press registrants.

DASH, or Downtown Area Short Hop, is a service created by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) whose primary function is to provide a localized transportation service. This means if your bank is down a couple of blocks, you would just hop onto your local DASH bus and it will take you there.DASH currently operates over 30 routes covering Downtown Los Angeles and many outlying communities within the city.

If you would like to experience more of Los Angeles than just the Convention Center but you don’t have access to a car then DASH is for you. You can just hop on and it can take you to food, fun, and experiences and it’s only 50¢!

The Convention Center is 1 block west from Pico Station (Pico Blvd. and Flower St.), serviced by both Metro Blue and Expo Lines. Additionally, the Convention Center is 6 blocks south from 7th St/Metro Center station (7th St. and Figueroa St.), approximately 15 minutes walking distance, serviced by Metro Blue, Expo, Red, and Purple Lines. Metro Rail lines connect with other Metro bus lines covering a 1,400 sq. mi. area.Metro Rail lines run until 2AM on Friday and Saturday nights.

  • Metro Blue Line - Downtown LA to/from Long Beach, with connections to the Metro Green, Expo, Red, and Purple Lines.
  • Metro Expo Line - Downtown LA to/from Culver City, with connections to the Metro Blue, Red, and Purple Lines.
  • Metro Red Line - Downtown LA to/from North Hollywood, with connections to the Metro Blue, Expo, Purple, and Gold Lines, and the LAX Flyaway bus.
  • Metro Purple Line - Downtown LA to/from Koreatown, with connections to the Metro Blue, Expo, Red, and Gold Lines, and the LAX Flyaway bus.
  • Metro Gold Line - Pasadena to/from East Los Angeles via Union Station, with connections to the Metro Red and Purple Lines, and the LAX Flyaway bus.
  • Metro Green Line - Norwalk to/from Redondo Beach, with connections to the Metro Blue Line and LAX airport.
Numerous bus routes from across the Los Angeles area service the Convention Center. Use the Metro Trip Planner or Google Maps to determine the best route for you. The following bus lines either have a stop directly at the Convention Center or stop within walking distance. Maps and timetables are available on the Metro website. These buses connect with other Metro lines covering a 1,400 sq. mi. area.

  • Line 30/330 - West Hollywood, downtown LA, and Boyle Heights, via Pico Blvd., San Vicente Blvd., and 1st St. Exit Figueroa and Pico.

  • Line 70 - El Monte Station, Rosemead, Monterey Park, City Terrace, and downtown LA via Garvey Ave. Exit Grand and 11th.
  • Line 71 - Cal State LA to/from downtown LA. Exit Grand and 14th or Grand and 11th.
