Manga Cafe is bigger and better this year, we listened to your recommendations and made Manga Cafe better in every possible manner for this year. Manga Cafe will be in an excellent room location at the heart of the convention. We have a capable and passionate staff who will do their best to ensure that your stay in our department will be the best it could be. Thanks to all the positive feedback, we are pushing our successful art contest for the 3rd year in a row. We hope you will find the time to stop by and visit our wonderful department.

Attendee Code of Conduct

1. You must check-in your bag and badge. We have the right to refuse if you do not comply.
2. If you are caught stealing manga, your badge will be taken away and you will be banned from the convention permanently. You will also get fined 4 times the cost of the manga stolen, and your picture will be taken for archiving.
3. You can bring in soft drinks and water, but don’t spill on the manga. You spill you buy.
4. Please keep your shoes on, because comfort in Manga Cafe is welcome as long as it doesn’t impede on the comfort of others.
5. Please return the books to the same location on the shelves.
6. Be respectful to the staffers, since they are volunteering to make your convention experience an enjoyable one. Treat the staff the way you would like to be treated.

Art Contest Rules

1. We will accept entries from Day 1 until 6pm on Day 3, you can still submit drawings afterwards, but they will not be part of the contest.
2. The drawing you submitted can’t be returned, so keep that in mind when you enter the contest.
3. It must be an original 4 panel comic that was drawn during con.
4. Write basic contact information at the back of the drawing and whether you give approval or not to have the drawing scanned and posted on the Anime Expo website.
5. It will be judged at 6pm on the third day of con by a panel of judges. You do not have to be there when the winners are announced to get your prize.

Good luck and have fun; we are looking for creativity and originality expressed in the passionate art of drawing.
