Reminders
- Please read the Information page carefully before registering.
- The only child attendee package we provide is the Four Day Child for $25. Please purchase this for your child even if he or she is attending for just one day.
- "Pre-Registered": A valid photo ID, as well as your registration confirmation email, containing the barcode, is required to be presented to staff in order to receive your badge. Acceptable forms of identification include: Drivers License, School ID, Work ID, Passport, Military ID, etc.
- “At the door”: Those registering at the convention will also purchase their badges at the Los Angeles Convention Center (South Hall), but will line up in a different line from the pre-registered attendees.
- The confirmation email printout is to help expedite the process because you can scan it and have your badge print out. However, should an attendee forget or does not receive his or her confirmation email, a photo ID will be sufficient.
The Artist Alley at Anime Expo is a venue for amateur and semi-professional artists to celebrate Japanese pop culture through fantastic works of art. Artists come from all over the country and beyond to share their original artwork, prints, crafts, clothing, comics and ‘zines. Don’t miss the chance to meet and support these amazing artists!
This year you can register for Artist Alley with the same system as normal Attendees just be sure that you sign-up for an Artist Alley 4-day pass. Once you register for a 4-day artist alley pass you will be allowed to purchase a table for Artist Alley and this also allows us to have an easy way for any assistant artist or helpers to register for just an artist alley 4-day pass.

Anime Expo® welcomes both industry and professional members who are involved in the anime, manga, and/or entertainment industry. Industry members may be employed with a major industry company or independent contractors or professionals. The requirements for registration are now posted below and you may apply for industry registration through our online form. Please allow at least 10 business days for your application to be processed. You must submit your online application by June 15th, 2013 in order to be considered.
On-site registration can be approved or denied at the discretion of the SPJA. We hope you can join us for Anime Expo!

Requirements
In order to be considered for “Industry” registration and receive complimentary entrance to this year’s convention, individuals will need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Individuals MUST be part of the creative process (i.e. Artist, Musician, Voice Actor, etc) and/or be an executive (CEO/CFO/COO, Director, Lawyer, ect) working in the fields of anime, manga and/or Japanese culture (Japanese: Fashion, Video Games, Movies & Music).
- Be in active employment or have worked in the last 6 months with a major industry company that is recognized as a production, licensing, post-production or marketing organization.
- Present a business card with stated company name, individual name and contact information and matching recent company pay-stub. (We apologize, however we cannot accept business cards without printed contact names due to illegal replications.)
- Present a Valid picture ID upon pass pickup. (US Driver’s license, Passport or Credit card with photo)
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age by/on July 3, 2013.
Notes:
- Each company will receive maximum of 10 (10) complementary passes only. Additional passes can be purchased at the event or in advanced, for a discounted rate of $55 for a 4-Day Pass.
- Unfortunately, due to the large volume of Retail (i.e. Salesperson, store manager, etc.) and Office Administration & Support positions (i.e. Assistant, accounting, data entry, IT, etc.), these positions do not qualify for a complementary industry pass; however they may register as a Professional badge. *See Professional registration below for more details*
- All passes are subject to the convention review process.
- Individuals who wish to apply for “Industry” admission should complete the Online Industry Pre-Registration Form and bring the required documents listed above to the convention.
In order to be considered for “Professional” registration and receive discounted entrance to this year’s convention, individuals will need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Individuals MUST be involved in the fields of anime, manga and/or Japanese culture (Japanese: Fashion, Video Games, Movies & Music) and be involved in Retail positions (i.e. Salesperson, store manager, etc.), office administration/support (i.e. Assistant, accounting, data entry, IT, etc.) or another non-creative positions for a major industry company.
- Be in active employment or have worked in the last 6 months with a major industry company that is recognized as a production, licensing, post-production or marketing organization.
- Present a business card with stated company name, individual name and contact information and matching recent company pay-stub. (We apologize, however we cannot accept business cards without printed contact names due to illegal replications.)
- Present a Valid picture ID upon pass pickup. (Driver’s license, passport or credit card with photo)
- Individuals will be REQUIRED to pay $55 for each professional badge requested.
Notes:
- Those that submit for "Professional" registration will receive a confirmation of receipt of application via e-mail and will then receive an "Approved Professional" e-mail to be placed on the "Professional" admission list.
- Those that have received an "Approved Professional" email prior to the convention will be able to obtain their Industry Professional Badges and packets at the registration location.
REMINDERS:
- Individuals that choose to register on-site will be required to provide a valid business card, current paycheck & picture ID. Individuals may register during the convention as "Professional" in the South Hall Lobby at the Los Angeles Convention Center at the Industry/Professional registration booth.
- To be considered for pre-registration, you must submit your online application by June 15th, 2013.
- Unfortunately, due to the large volume of requests all guest pass requests are being denied due to the high volume of industry & professional attendees. Please register your guests through the general public registration online or on-site in the South Hall Lobby.
- The SPJA & Anime Expo reserves the right to revoke or deny access regardless of prior approval.

Requirements
In order to be considered “Press” and to receive complimentary entrance to this year’s convention, individuals will need to fulfill the following requirements:
Active employment with a major media company that is recognized as a print publication (i.e. magazine, newspapers, etc.), radio, television/cable/affiliate station/program, newscast and/or online magazine with a minimum of 10,000+ unique hits per month-via Google Analytics.
Writers/Reporters from high school and university level publications are encouraged to apply as well. However, in these cases we kindly request that you provide us with a letter of intent signed by you and your editor-in-chief/advisor on official school letterhead. Please also note that we will not be able to provide Press Badges for them. Chaperones are welcome to enjoy the convention by registering through the registration process for the general public. Please register any chaperones through the general public registration located in the South Hall Lobby.
We kindly request that cosplay-related media outlets present a detailed proposal on the coverage they plan to do at Anime Expo. Taking photos of the cosplayers who attend the convention can be done quite readily without the need of a Press Badge; therefore we reserve the right to deny applications of that nature.

Individuals who choose to register at the convention will also be required to provide the items mentioned in points 2 and 3 above. Due to the fact that we will not have all of our resources available at the convention, please be aware that information that cannot be verified on the spot may result in the denial of the Press Badge.
