Billy Tringali is the Founder and Editor of the ‘Journal of Anime and Manga Studies’ (JAMS), an open-access, academic journal dedicated to the study of anime, manga, cosplay, and their fandoms. Since its inception, JAMS has published nearly 1,000 pages of free-to-read scholarship about anime and manga. JAMS is published by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Tringali received his Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. Tringali is a Faculty Librarian at Indiana University Indianapolis.
