Online Industry Registration is now closed. On-site registration for industry begins at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 30th. Industry registration location: Outside of room 309, on the 3rd floor.

Industry Registration Information

Anime Expo® welcomes all industry members who are involved in the anime, manga, and/or entertainment industry. Industry members may be employed with a major industry company or independent contractors or professionals. The requirements for registration are now posted below and you may apply for industry registration through our online form. Please allow at least 7 business days for your application to be processed. You must submit your online application by June 23, 2010 in order to be considered. On-site registration can be approved or denied at the discretion of the SPJA. We hope you can join us for Anime Expo!

Industry Pre-Registration Requirements

In order to be considered “Industry”  and receive complimentary entrance to this year’s convention, individuals will need to fulfill the following requirements:

1. Active employment with a major company that is recognized as a production, licensing, post-production, distributor and/or retail entity (at a corporate level) within the anime, manga and/or entertainment industry.

2. Business card with stated company name, individual name and contact information (we apologize, however we can not accept business cards without printed contact names due to illegal replications) or a recent company pay-stub.

3. Individual applying as industry MUST be an executive and/or part of the creative departments of the company (i.e. Vice President, Artist, Development, etc.). Retail positions (i.e. Salesperson, store manager, etc.) and office administration/support (i.e. Assistant, accounting, data entry, IT, etc.) does not apply. Individuals with a business card and valid ID that are not an executive or creative representative may still obtain admission as an industry member at a discounted rate of $15/day that can be redeemed at the industry registration location on the day of attendance.

4. Valid picture ID.

5. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age by/on July 1, 2010.

Note: Companies receiving a complimentary pass will be limited to five (5) passes only. Additional passes can be purchased at the event, or in advanced, for a discounted rate of $15/day. All additional passes are still subject to the convention review process.

Individuals who wish to apply for “Industry”  admission should complete the Online Industry Pre-Registration Form (registration is closed) and bring the required documents listed above to the convention.

Note: Individuals that are independent contractors or professionals within the anime, manga and/or entertainment industry that are NOT actively employed (but was employed within the last 12 months prior to Anime Expo) with a major industry company may still obtain entrance at a discounted daily rate of $15.

Those that submit for “Industry”  registration will receive a confirmation of receipt of application via e-mail and will then receive an “Approved Industry” e-mail to be placed on the “Industry” admission list.

Those that obtain approval for “Industry”  admission will still be required to provide their official business card and valid ID.

Those that have received an “Approved Industry” email prior to the convention will be able to obtain their Industry Badges and packets at the registration location.

REMINDER: Individuals that choose to register on site will be required to provide a valid business card as well as picture ID. Individuals may register during the convention as “Industry” in the registration location.

You must submit your online application by June 23, 2010.

Sorry, requests for non-industry, guest passes have been denied due to the high number of industry attendees. Please register your guests through the general public registration located in the South Hall Lobby.

* Anime Expo reserves the right to refuse industry badges without reason, during the pre-registration and on-site industry registration process.

Industry Check-In Information

Your industry badge will be available for pickup on-site. Badge pickup location is at the registration table outside of room 309; on the 3rd floor above the Compass café at the following times:

  • Wed, June 30: 8am – 8pm
  • Thu, July 1: 8am – 8pm
  • Fri, July 2: 8am – 8pm
  • Sat , July 3: 8am – 6pm
  • Sun , July 4: 8am – 2pm
