Kazuo Maekawa is a professional manga artist with over 30 years of experience and the lead instructor at MANGA DOJO TOKYO. He is best known for his work on the globally recognized Ace Attorney manga series, with titles that have been translated and published worldwide. Since his debut in 1997 after winning the Kodansha Chiba Tetsuya Award, he has continued to produce serialized manga and webtoons while remaining active in the industry.

In addition to his work as a creator, Maekawa is dedicated to education and cultural exchange, teaching manga techniques to students of all ages both in Japan and internationally. He has led workshops and programs across the U.S., Europe, and beyond, inspiring the next generation of artists through hands-on instruction and insight into the professional manga-making process
