After graduating from university, Hiroyuki Watanabe joined Kadokawa. He worked on Monthly Shonen Ace since its 1994 launch, editing hits like Evangelion and Sgt. Frog. After serving as Editor-in-Chief for several magazines, he now oversees the Manga and Light Novel divisions since 2023.
After graduating from university, Hiroyuki Watanabe joined Kadokawa Shoten. He has been involved with Monthly Shonen Ace since its launch in 1994, editing hits like Evangelion, Sgt. Frog, and MPD Psycho. After serving as Editor-in-Chief for several magazines including Monthly Shonen Ace, he managed ComicWalker (now Kadokomi) from 2013. Following various senior management roles, he was appointed Executive Officer in 2023. He now oversees the Manga, Light Novel, and Shin-Bungei genres at KADOKAWA.
