Shuji Utsumi leads at the intersec on of gaming and entertainment, with experience across Sony, SEGA, Disney and more. He helped establish PlayStation in the US, led the Dreamcast launch, enabled Kingdom Hearts, and now shapes SEGA’s transmedia vision and IP growth.

Shuji Utsumi is a pioneering leader in games and entertainment. At Sony, he helped create Sony Computer Entertainment and launch PlayStation in the US. He led SEGA’s Dreamcast launch, helped secure Disney–Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts partnership, co-founded Q Entertainment (Lumines, Child of Eden), and held roles at Warner Music Japan and CYBIRD. Since returning to SEGA in 2020, he has spearheaded a transmedia strategy that extends SEGA’s IP across the broader entertainment landscape, eleva ng the company into a stronger global entertainment brand.
