AX Dance
The cross-section between EDM and anime fandom.
Get your groove on at AX Dance! Dive into a variety of workshops to learn new dance styles or showcase your skills in exhilarating dance competitions by day. As night falls, immerse yourself in an electrifying lineup of local DJs and renowned headliners from Japan, bringing you the best of every genre—from J-pop and House music to epic anime song remixes!

AX DANCE Features:
a. Workshops and Random Play Dances (12 PM - 6 PM)
b. All Ages Dance (8 PM - 10 PM)*
c. 18+ Dance (10 PM - 2 AM)**
*AX Dance is an “all responsible ages” event in accordance with the City of Los Angeles’s curfew policy. Attendees of all ages can attend AX Dance in the evening from 8 PM – 10 PM.
**After 10 PM, attendees under the age of 18 will not be admitted to AX Dance.
If you are attending AX Dance after 10 PM, you must have the following:
- An 18+ wristband (can be acquired at an Info Services booth or Event Operations by presenting a valid form of ID such as a state ID, driver’s license, or passport)
- A valid AX badge
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, you may be asked to undergo a brief security check by our licensed staff before entering AX Dance.
Failure to comply with the following rules and regulations will result in denied entry to AX Dance or dismissal from the event.
- Badge and ID are required at all times; you will be checked every single time you enter.
- Cannot enter AX Dance after 10 PM if you are under the age of 18.
- No professional cameras. No exceptions.
- Must have shoes on at all times.
- No queuing for AX Dance before 7 PM.
- No liquids or beverages may be brought in. (There is a water fountain outside of the AX Dance room)
- No bags. No exceptions. (Please utilize the bag check or leave personal belongings in your car or hotel room)
- No large cosplay props.
- No prop weapons or replicas of any kind. (Swords, airsoft, etc.)
- Neither AX Dance Staff Volunteers nor Security are responsible for watching your personal belongings and will not hold the items you leave at the door.
- Security will dismiss anyone found lying down or asleep inside of the dance room.
- Cannot enter AX Dance under the influence.
- No backstage access. Anyone found backstage or entering through any door other than the main entrance will be escorted out by Security.
- Do not leave any personal items near or under the stage. Security will remove any such items if found.
- Do not stand on any furniture inside or outside of the AX Dance room. Security may ask you to leave.
- Anyone dismissed from AX Dance for any reason cannot return for the remainder of the weekend.
