All applicants that have been selected for Anime Expo 2026 Portfolio Review will be notified via email by early June. If you have not been provided an official invitation email by then, you have not been selected.
Event Date: July 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Please note approved applicants will receive an exact timeslot and location in their confirmation email.
Important Information:
- Eligibility: Open to all ages. Applicants must be able to speak English or Japanese and hold a valid Anime Expo 2026 credential.
- Work Status & Content: Open to all genres. Submissions may include both unpublished and previously published works. Accepted formats include finished manuscripts, storyboards (drafts), illustrations, and similar materials.
- Format: Digital files only. Accepted formats include Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or Smash links.
- Disclaimer: Editors will provide professional advice, but this session does not guarantee future employment or a debut. Note, you may only submit one (1) piece of work for review. Length of work may be up to 10 pages.
- Participating Publishers (11 Companies): Akita Shoten, Coamix, Shonen Gahosha, Shinchosha, TO Books, Nihon Bungeisha, Hakusensha, Futabasha, Bunkasha, Leed. Please note, we cannot guarantee which specific publisher you will meet.
- Selection: Applicants will be selected based on work quality. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding selection results.
- Rights & Privacy: Data will be used only for this session and deleted afterward. No rights to the works submitted will be claimed by publishers. Photos/videos may be taken for publicity during the event (individuals will not be identified).
- Attendance: Finalists must be available between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the event day.
