Baku Kinoshita made waves as the director & character designer of ODDTAXI in 2021. He's known for his bold character designs & cinematic storytelling, deeply inspired by various filmmakers. Now, he joins Anime Expo for the first time to take the stage for The Last Blossom, his first feature-length film as a director.
“ODDTAXI” was Baku Kinoshita’s debut as a director and a character designer, gaining global attention.
He joined P.I.C.S. as an animator and assistant director for commercials and music videos. His works, inspired by various filmmakers, feature unique designs and vibrant colors.
A special panel at AX2025 on “The Last Blossom”, his first original theatrical film with Kazuya Konomoto, will highlight its highly anticipated fall 2025 release in Japan.
His distinctive works have captivated anime fans, making him one of Japan’s most promising young animation directors.
