NYC-based jazz band, Catbus Collective performs unique covers of anime, Ghibli, and City Pop classics. Ranging from Sailor Moon to Jujutsu Kaisen, the audience will hear their favorite anime openers, closers, and soundtracks in an exciting musical presentation with plenty of burning instrumental solos.

Catbus Collective is a NYC-based jazz ensemble known for its unique re-imagining of Japanese anime, film and city pop soundtracks. Founded by Jasper Shogo Dutz, the ensemble showcases the talent of AAPI musicians who share a collective interest in Japanese pop culture, fictitious lore and video gaming. Since their debut in fall of 2023, they’ve performed at numerous anime conventions, festivals, and venues including Kogaracon, Setsucon, Yukibana, Queens Public Library, Umbra, Wonderville, Red Pavilion, Clement’s Place, AAPI Jazz Fest, & Mid-Autumn Festival.

Catbus Collective has released numerous videos online on both YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, garnering over 2 million views worldwide. Paying tribute to both new and old anime, Catbus Collective continues to bring audiences together through anime jazz.
