FRAN is a Japanese cosplayer, performer, and cultural liaison whose work spans artistic creation, international collaboration, and the structural development of the global cosplay community. Her practice is rooted in a lifelong engagement with manga, costume-making, and performance.

Since creating her first self-made costume—Angel from “Tekken 2” in 1997, she has produced more than 250 costumes, distinguished by their architectural construction and refined aesthetic. Drawing from anime and manga as well as historical fashion and traditional craftsmanship, her work approaches costume as both artistic expression and cultural interpretation .
