Ken Harada is a distinguished music producer and DJ from Tokyo, Japan, who rose to prominence in the music industry with his production of Ayumi Hamasaki’s iconic hit, Duty, which sold over 3 million copies and won a Japan Record Award for Best Album. Known for his collaborations with major Japanese artists like EXILE, BoA, Kumi Koda, Ami Suzuki, SKE48, TM Revolution and many more. Ken has also made significant contributions to TV, film, and anime music. His work includes theme songs for PRIDE F.C., Formula 1, the popular TV drama
“Lucky 7 Special” (starring Jun Matsumoto, Nanako Matsushima), as well as anime such as “One Piece” and “Black Jack”, making him a versatile force in Japan’s entertainment scene.
Throughout the ’90s and early 2000s, Ken was celebrated as a techno DJ, performing alongside world-renowned figures such as Carl Cox, Christian Smith, SLAM, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson. His passion for music led him to explore Future Funk, eventually launching
the Tokyo City Lights event on June 8, 2024, featuring celebrated acts like Vantage, Macross 82- 99, Moe Shop, and DJ Hello Kitty, highlighting his innovative spirit and commitment to evolving musical styles.
