Debuted as director with the TV anime “K-ON!” and later directed its feature film. Her later works include “A Silent Voice”, selected for the Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s Feature Competition, as well as “The Heike Story”, and the film “The Colors Within”, winner of the Golden Goblet Award for Best Animated Feature at the Shanghai International Film Festival. She is the executive director of the 2026 TV anime “Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia”, selected for Annecy 2026.
