Formed by five jazz and rock instrumentalists who met through college and high school communities, SodaPop is a music project based between San Diego, CA and Cleveland, OH rooted in a deep appreciation for Japanese pop culture. The project interprets the emotional and musical depth of J-POP, anime and video games music into conversations with cohesive jazz interplay and the drive of instrumental rock. Original arrangements, reimagined classics, and spontaneous improvisation: that’s when music transcends the recording and becomes a living expression of SodaPop’s own.
