Tomohisa Shimoyama started as an animator on projects like the Doraemon films and worked under many famous Japanese anime directors, including Keiichi Hara, Masaaki Yuasa, and Mamoru Hosoda. He served as animation director and unit director on The Night is Short, Walk on Girl (2017, film) and Devilman crybaby (2018, Netflix), as well as chief director and character designer on SUPER SHIRO (2019, Abema) before making his debut as a TV series director on Yurei Deco (2022, TV).
